ALTHEA, Chicago’s premier plant-based dining destination, is seeking a qualified General Manager to run operations in a full-service, upscale establishment.
-Minimum 2 years of General Manager experience in an upscale, full-service restaurant
-Thorough knowledge of and enthusiasm for plant-based cuisine
-Ability to learn and abide by corporate SOPs
-Proven track record of strong leadership and ability to coach and develop employees
-Ability to manage operating costs effectively, including food, beverage, and labor costs
-Pro-active management style and thorough understanding of all FOH and BOH positions
-Adept at using various POS systems, delivery platforms, scheduling apps, OpenTable, and social media platforms
-Highly organized and experienced with tracking inventories and clearly communicating orders with vendors
-City of Chicago Food Sanitation Manager certificate
-Ability to provide constructive feedback and delegate tasks as necessary
-Proficient with G-Suite, Excel, and menu creation and management
-Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and P&L
-Strong attention to detail and an optimistic, upbeat attitude — always leading by example
-Desire to maintain a welcoming, non-judgmental, positive workplace culture that supports all employees and expresses gratitude to all guests
