These kids cooking classes are about more than just teaching kids to cook and bake! Every sunday will be a fun and interactive 90 minute lesson on the art of cooking and making food that is delcious and packed full of flavour. These lessons will incorporate an understanding of measurements, science, food planning, organisation of ingredients and time managment. At the end of each class your kids will have learnt and made a dish that they will be excited to eat and proud to serve to you, and they will have learnt some valuable life skills.
Every week we will focus on a new dish. Some will be savoury and some sweet and all of them will use and incorporate a variety of whole foods, nutritional ingredients and healthier alternatives to refined and processed sugars and flours. Examples of things we will cook are homemade pizza, baked meatballs with a veggie loaded tomato sauce, oatmeal chocolate chip cokies, banana bread, sushi, chicken katsu curry, homemade pasta, doughnuts and much more. All recipes that include meat will offer vegetarian and vegan options and all recipes will incorporate more plant based ingredients. Getting kids to eat healthy and understand how to cook with healthy ingredients is a real passion of mine. Kids tend to associate healthier food with tasting bad and these classes will hopefully change these beliefs and teach them that healthier food will ansolutely taste delicious and if made right will never compromise on flavour.
As kids of different ages are able to master different skills I will be offfering 2 times for cooking classes. 11am- 12:30pm for ages 3-7 and 3pm-4:30pm for ages 7-15. I also run bespoke and private cooking classes for indivuduals and groups and if these times do not work for you please message me and I will be happy to organise a separate cooking class at a time that suits you.
